BACKGROUND:
Christie is a Tampa native happy to return home. Prior to joining the team at WHH, she was a Dean’s List honors student at the University of Florida College of Law. During law school, Christie gained valuable hands-on legal experience at various clerkship positions: The 8th Judicial Circuit Family and Civil Courthouse, managing family law cases for multiple judges; Summer Associate for WHH, PA and as a Certified Legal Intern prosecuting cases for the Alachua County Office of the State Attorney. Christie also served as a Teacher’s Assistant at UF Law for Legal Research & Writing and Appellate Advocacy. Christie was very active in the law student body as V.P. of the Entertainment and Sports Law Society and as a representative in the John Marshall Bar Assoc. representative.
Prior to her journey into the legal profession, Christie enjoyed a successful career as a Hollywood stuntwoman and actress in over 50 film and television productions. She worked with various stars including Billy Bob Thornton and stunt-doubled such actresses as Hilary Duff, Jessica Simpson, and Linda Cardellini.
Christie is also a very strong supporter of the arts. She performed many notable live shows for Universal Studios and The Walt Disney World Company, including the Indiana Jones Stunt Show, Tarzan Rocks, Terminator 2 3-D, and the Sindbad Stunt Show. Her National Theatre tours include Sesame Street Live and Reading is Fundamental.
Christie’s community activities include Give Kids the World, Make a Wish Foundation, and Breast Cancer Awareness. Christie is also an avid sports fan regularly attending Rays Games.
